Noche Illusies
Noche Illusies has been around since 30th October 2006 but officially opened to all on 10th Novemeber. It is kindly hosted by Rilla at Snow-Willow.com.
Why N-I
I was trying to find a nice name which I wouldn’t get tired of too easily. There were many random but either too common-sounding or too plain options. When English words combination failed, I translated the words & came up with Noche from night in Spanish. At first I had autumnoche in mind, autumn for the reason that I love autumn and that’s what I’m called in the WWW, the latter being the reason why I decided not too. It’ll be odd to be having one’s name in a site name. So, I thought of Night Illusions and here you have it, Illusies from illusions in Dutch.Noche Illusies it is.
Why autumn.s-w.com
Instead of having my site name as site URL, I chose autumn ie. as myself. One reason being noche illusies may easily get mispelled & isn’t exactly easy to remember and also autumn, identifies the owner of the site. So, remember me along with snow-willow.com and you’ve reached my site! I chose SWC because it had a lot of features for eg. my very own CPanel & I could specify the amount of diskspace & bandwidth I’d need which you most probably can’t find anywhere else. Plus, it was regularly updated and high-quality - can be trusted. And truly, I’m very satisfied so far.

I was actually just playing with random shapes and then I duplicated one, tweaked them and came up with what looked to me like a phoenix. The sunset colours was initially just to stay away from blue which has dominated my past 3 layouts; I like the look now.

Fonts: OptimusPrinceps, Trajan Pro, Georgia, Century Gothic.This is my very first Flash layout, complete with animated menu and navigation. I absolutely LOVE it. Everything came out all fine.
v2. Blue Simplicity

Fonts: Nueva.This is a fully original design, credits only to the ever-trusty Adobe Photoshop CS 2 for the shapes.

Brushes: Miss M.Everything in this layout’s was made entirely by me using my own photos. The tulips were vectorized in Illustrator, the site name was sketched by hand & then scanned in, the background is a 3AM sky with an abstract building over it (not very clear). All the pictures used were taken when I was in Melbourne this October. Only thing that’s not mine in the header is the autumn leaf that’s behind the words which is a brush from Miss M.
