Aren’t they just fun? When I mean fun I mean being swamped with loads of crazy homework? Let’s see what I have to do before Monday’s classes shall we?

1. Physics project proposal - I’m going to do something on cosmology, which if you didn’t know (like I didn’t) is about the universe: the creation of it, the planets etc., something like that. I’ve been reading or more like staring at the book for hours - it’s just filled with alien language! But yes this is due tomorrow because I have to ask my aunt to print it since, of all days, Physics happens to be the very first period.
2. English annotated bibliography - Never seen those words before? Basically, for research, we use sources like books, websites right? So for this assignment, I’m supposed to get 4 sources and do a proper reference - yes, there are different styles of referencing. We were given examples on how to but the problem is, they weren’t all like “constant” (can’t find the word). Even online, sites gave different versions of the Harvard style. So, I wasted my time looking at all these sites. Don’t ask me why, because now I know I could have done my homework and slept earlier last night instead of at 3 am. Right, back to topic. I also have to read through the sources and summarize and give a critique. Also need to finish it at least before lunchtime tomorrow because English is the second period and so likewise, require my aunt’s printer.
3. Specialist Mathematics Common Test - I need to do practice tests because trigo. prelim. is NOT easy. There’s one whole bunch of formulas and then, there’s applying them. And they all can be confusing considering they basically involve cos, sin and tan. Oh and also, we’ve been on this topic since college started where as other subjects, we’re already at topic 3 or so. What does that mean…
4. Homework - Some leftovers from the CNY break and also I think, there’s new ones. Like, for physics (man, not again), have to do the report for the practical. What exactly I have to do is to type out everything that’s on the 4 page practical sheet given and then fill up the data, answer the questions, write a so-called “discussion” and draw graphs by hand. Not due Monday so that can wait.

That’s what I have to do. Oh look only 4 items, so easy! .. NOT, but I wished. Oh oh, I also have two more tests next week on Thursday and Friday. All these tests coming up contribute about 5% to my final results.

I haven’t and won’t be updating often because all these work I have. Really, the weekends are never like the weekends anymore…

BUT, there is the mid-semester break to look forward too! 3 more weeks peeps! *hint to friends in Brunei*

Results are out and I’m happy with mine. I wasn’t expecting straight A’s unlike some people would have expected me to expect so.. (okay, that’s a little confusing). But yes, now I guess I can really say, I’m done with high school. I’ve got my grades already. Now it’s college college college, until November. And then it’s university, but.. that’s not what I’m looking forward to for now. Must enjoy college life right?

So what’s been up? I barely had a good rest during my weekend - or should I say, weekendS. It’s been tiring really. Weekends I go back, I get to use the computer and the Internet but I also have homework to finish and assignments to look into. This weekend, I helped my aunt bake ‘dragon cookies’. If you’ve no idea what they are, and you happen to know what’s kuih bangkit, it’s a bit like that except dragon cookies has no coconut in it. I love dragon cookies - my favourite Chinese New Year cookies. Apparently my cousin in Penang likes them too so my aunt (2nd aunt) made 3 batches, because she wasn’t happy with how the first two turned out. We baked till 3 am in the morning on friday night. Crazy I know. I was awake for almost 24 hours, short of 3 only.

On Wednesday, it was Thaipusam and that means for me, a holiday! So my roommates and I went to Sunway Pyramid. At first, we were waiting for these 3 particular buses but then when one of them came, after about half an hour, the bus driver told us we were on the wrong side of the road. So we did the hazardous thing and crossed the busy road. But yes, in the end we took a taxi which costs us the same amount as the bus. RM 6 divided by 3 of us and RM 2 each for return bus. Of course, the RM 2 includes a return but then we didn’t take the bus to the pyramid so, our loss. Anyways, shopped. Yes, spent more money - way too much I feel BUT, doesn’t mean I’m not going to shop again. I’m waiting for my eldest brother to come back to go shopping. Final and last minute CNY shopping. Oh, we went again the next day, my roommates and housemate. Simply because I had to change this birthday bear thing and we had things we wanted to get for my other housemates. So, yeap. It was fun though. We spent less on the bus tickets. 70c on a mini bus there and 90c on the Metro bus back. (The RM2 one was a RapidKL bus.)

So anyways, I’ve got 2 quizzes coming up this Friday. Chemistry and Moral Studies. Moral’s only 20 multiple choice but I’ll still read through. I don’t pay attention in class simply because, it’s not easy to. The lecture theatre we use is so small - long yet narrow - and the lecturers voice doesn’t seem to pass through the mic well. She doesn’t seem to be able to get our attention neither. I’ve got an English project already. It’s a research project and I’m doing on chocolates. Yeap, chocolates and health. We were advised to choose social problems because it’s easier to write an argumentative report on such matters but then I felt they were all so common, and boring - not interested. I was eating chocolates when I thought of that topic. It’s not easy though. All the books have so far been cookbooks - it is SO not fun looking for a non-cookbook. This Thursday, I’ve to hand in two of my sources for checking. This week’s going to be.. fun. I should start studying my Chemistry. I am totally blank on the first topic - which is kind of big - Environmental Chemistry. All the carbon and nitrogen cycle processes, photochemical smog, acid rain, greenhouse effect etc.

By the way, I’m in the Web - Taylor’s College’s campus IT Lab. Sort of like a cyber cafe. Now, I’m hungry and I want to eat my dinner which my roommate has probably already bought home for me and my housemates. So yes.
