This laziness bug is an all-bad thing. I will and must get rid of it. I’ve been reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Apparently, I’m supposed to read it before I go to college. As for now, that, seems kind of impossible. But anyways, the book’s interesting. Talks about things that, we actually already are aware of, but just don’t apply. Like being positive, proactive. There’s also a documentary called The Secret (Law of Attraction) - which I haven’t watched/read but have heard about. Here’s what it says from the official website:

I’ve been asked to watch it. I’ve watched the other The Secret by Jay Chou - it’s a good movie. It was hard to understand him in Initial D, probably because he was talking in Cantonese. This one’s in Mandarin: it’s better but also not very clear some parts. Luckily, I had trusty subtitles to read from. I have this habit of reading subtitles - even for English shows! I get kind of lost when there’s no subtitles - I think I depend on them too much.

A couple of things have happened since my last blog.

1. I got a new phone! An aquatic white W200i. I’d be super happy with it, if not for the fact the music tends to fail and the themes the stupid guy at the shop installed were all corrupted - waste of space but I’ve cleared them, yesterday. The phone’s okay really. Went back to Sungei Wang (which mind you, is in the congested KL city and in this complex itself, you rub shoulders with almost everyone - it’s that packed) and the guy went and cleared the settings. Which, apparently should stop the failing problem. And then he said, “Oh, some themes don’t work on some walkman phones. Different format.” AND he, was the one who asked for 10 minutes to do the “settings” i.e. add some strange corrupted themes.
2. I went to sit in the Eye On Malaysia. It’s a relatively big ferris wheel with air-conditioned gondolas. Oh, look the site says it’s the “biggest in the world”:

   We actually wanted to go before going to my aunt’s house for the Christmas party since it was on the way, but it was raining and it “looked” like a long queue - according to my uncle, it “looks” like a long queue but those people aren’t going on the ride. Anyways, they’re supposedly taking it down at the end of the year so, might as well go and experience it right? It was rather.. boring. It might have been nicer if it was at night with all the lights and all. In the day, it was just, the KLCC, KL Tower, Times Square, other skyscrapers, the lake, houses far away.. But hey, at least I’ve been on “the largest portable wheel in the world, and the first overhanging a lake.”

3. I went for the Christmas party at my aunt’s house. There were Christmas carols, good dinner, two games from which I got chocolate (which reminds me it’s half-eaten in the fridge). I’ve got lots of chocolate from the Cadbury Chocolate Factory in Tasmania - I didn’t mention that in my previous blogs I think. So yes, it’s time to get, fat(ter). Or not. Anyone wants chocolate?
4. My eldest brother flew back again for work to New Zealand on Boxing Day. I’ll be seeing him when Chinese New Year comes. Did you know, that a lot of shops (and even the TV commercials) are playing Chinese New Year songs already? The year hasn’t even ended and Christmas just passed a few days ago, yet, they’ve already started playing. It’s.. so early. Well, okay, so it’s only about a month away, but still, I think it’s strange to hear it when the actual new year hasn’t even arrived yet. Anyways, talking about flying out, my parents left this morning. I said goodbye last night - it, was not a happy occasion *sobs*. But, I WILL see them this CNY. They’re coming back for two days I think. It’s been 10 years since they last came back for CNY. My 2nd brother on the other hand, won’t be here and I won’t be seeing him for a year after the 3rd of January since he’s going to start work in Melbourne.
5. I went to Times Square yesterday. The monorail was packed like, seriously packed. You literally have to push to get in. My brother and I waited for the second train, AND, the second train malfunctioned. The power went off, they made some inaudible announcement. Lasted for about 15 minutes during which, people started leaving because they must have felt hot and had to breathe stale air since the air-conditioning was turned off. Did I mention that everyone was standing/sitting without almost any gap in between? I think they stopped all the monorail trains because of that train.

So, that’s basically the somewhat interesting parts of these few days. I must say, I hate the traffic congestion in KL city. And the monorail experience, was really an experience - I must remember not to use it at peak hours.

Tomorrow, I’m supposed to check-in or, more like, attend the briefing for accommodation. I wonder whether I’ll be meeting my roommates/housemates.. Oh and Jun Jie’s taking SAM too! Happy is me! Haha. At least I know someone. In the event I don’t make new friends (which I don’t hope will happen), I’ll just drag him around and explore college. (Okay Jun Jie?)

{EDIT at 00 30, 15/12/07} Happy Birthday to me! Special thanks to Steven for wishing me! First one to. It’s 3 hours ahead here in Melbourne and so, it’s already 12.30 am.. Perhaps a blog later? I’m 17! I actually helped my aunt bake cookies just now. Did all the shaping and all; other than regular circles, I made hearts, stars, a 16 and a 17 but I don’t know why, the 17’s missing. Maybe, I’m meant not to eat it .. 16’s down! Oh and I only have one perfect heart and star each left - the rest is like broken because they got stuck. I might post up pictures.. haven’t done so in a while. Oh, and I got a Facebook.. for fun. Though, my brother’s housemate kept saying not to.. hmm.. {/EDIT}
It’s been a while since my last blog. What’s happened? I packed everything and boarded a plane to KL. Rita, Jay, Chris, Jia Wei, Jun Jie, Victor and Gary came to send me off (which really wasn’t needed! but yes, thanks still) - it wasn’t a happy thing.. embarrassing really, if you know what I mean. Tears and all. I got farewell gifts too - it was touching. I’m actually, excited to go back to Brunei, probably in about 2-3 months? (See, it’s even more pointless thinking about having sent me off no?). Oh and I must add that the flight was delayed from 3 till about 7. So I spent my time just staring around in the airport and messaging.

While I was in KL, I went to Taylor’s College and registered for SAM (South Australian Matriculation). I’m going to be staying at My Place - yes, that’s the name of the hostel - which is directly opposite the college behind the shophouses. It’s “safer” and there’s like a foodcourt outside, so it’s convenient too. The downside: I don’t have a PC and so no Internet access other than in college and when I’m at my grandma’s house for the weekends. But my brother says, it’s going to be fun still. I can’t yet imagine sharing a small room with 2 other people (who, I’ve no idea yet) and having to study in with everyone else (about 5?) in the living room. I’m kind of excited for college; it’s a brand new experience altogether.

On the 7th, my parents, my aunt and I flew here to Melbourne. The flight was nice. I finally watched Stardust, and personally, I think it’s better than Enchanted. Somehow, Enchanted suddenly seemed a little.. silly. My second brother met up with us at the airport and then we rented a car. Off to Clayton where my brother stays. He’s having his graduation ceremony tomorrow. My eldest brother will be coming over here too tomorrow till the day after my birthday. Family reunion since.. end of last year I think. =) Excited really. (I am aware, that it’s the 3rd time probably that I’ve used “excited” - vocabulary level: very low)

We went to Tasmania from Sunday till today. It was like, some crazy road trip. Half the time we were in the car I think. Over the hills, on the winding and bumpy roads, through the scenic countryside.. it was fun nevertheless. Tasmania’s a really beautiful place. The white beaches, the grasslands with the sheep and cows, the mountains - bare or with the trees, the historic sites.. oh and the B&B’s we stayed in. That stands for ‘Bed and Breakfast’ in case you didn’t know. It’s almost like a hotel with everything provided. Maybe not as classy but still good. The last two nights we stayed at two pub’s B&B.

Okay.. take a break. I’m chatting and blogging and I’ve been at this for too long. I might, update more.. after this week? Oh oh, my birthday’s in 4 days! And my whole family’s going to be here.. in Melbourne. =) Sorry for not replying comments or commenting at anyone’s site. Not much time right now. Soon I hope. Thanks for visiting.. don’t stop yes?
