Miri

Illusions

Miri was full of Brunei cars. And getting there, we had to queue up say, 750 m away? Also, because the car form had expired, my dad asked me to walk to the Customs and get a new form. I walked and walked back.. without a form: they had run out of forms. It’s rather awkward walking in between two rows of cars all in N mode, waiting (im)patiently to get pass customs, and even stranger when you walk back without anything.

Anyways, after all the queuing up, in Miri, first stop was income tax office and then 2020 for breakfast at like 11+. Then to bank and then Bintang Plaza. Went bowling - my fingers seemed to let go off the ball at different times so it went longkang-ing at times - then shopping. Bought books from Popular and an exam pad. Buying stationery can make me very happy.. for some reason. Then, at Parkson, I just walked around because I’m not supposed to be buying any clothes. It was tempting though - -”. Why.. did they have to have a sale.. But then again, I can live without getting anything off the racks. I didn’t shop/hunt for shoes neither. My shoes aren’t that old anyways.. I’ll just have to hope that I don’t get bleeding toes again. After Bintang, to the market. Then Boulevard - KFC then the supermarket. I spent half an hour browsing around upstairs whilst my dad did the grocery-shopping. Reached home at around 8, after dinner at May Fang.

That’s what I did briefly yesterday. It was tiring but in some way, relaxing and fun because I haven’t gone (window-)shopping for a long long time. Brunei doesn’t even have that many things to see anyways.

This morning, went for blood test and then lunch and then went to Centrepoint to meet up with friends for a VERY short while. And home. Now. I’m going to watch Step Up. I’m feeling lazy to blog more and in a more, interesting way. Not in the mood too.

Oh, check out tresAmour - new layout. I’ll be changing/adding links. So if you’d like to be linked or if you asked before and haven’t yet been linked, leave your links in the tagboard or comments, in case I forget.

Half holiday half schoolday

Illusions

I woke up past 8 AM today, but I “got up” only at 10.30 AM. So I just spent 2 hours lying on my bed, and trying to sleep but it never works. I can never sleep after waking up in the morning. I cooked Maggi Mee for breakfast along with hot cold chocolate. Then I wrote down all the changes for the SC magazine on stick-it notes - I wasted like 5 of them because they were either too small so I used the bigger ones instead, or I wrote wrongly (yes, I’m very particular about erm, tidiness when it comes to things like this and I will waste paper if I have to.) Had lunch at Four Seas Restaurant. There was this table with highly rude group laughing like idiots (seriously). They were so inconsiderate and disturbing. Really, they must have not been paying attention in MIB or “Sivik” or whichever that teaches us manners when they were in school.

Went to printers after that and then to netball.. or more like basketball. They (around 6 of them) were playing basketball when I went there. Point: I don’t play basketball, so I just joined in to “make the number even” like Lien Fah said. I basically just stood there doing pretty much nothing. Checked out the school hall and it was quite empty. The staffroom doesn’t seem packed with furniture so maybe not everything’s been moved up yet. *shrugs*

And as the title says, it was half schoolday and half holiday. Now I’m waiting for Say It Right by Nelly Furtado to finish downloading. I’ve been downloading movies lately: Music & Lyrics (watched), John Tucker Must Die (watched), Step Up, Ghostrider and currently, The Holiday and Flushed Away. Anymore movies to recommend people? I still have The Pursuit of Happyness and Night At The Museum on DVD to watch. Oh, Music & Lyrics was NICE! Watch it if you haven’t. I got the soundtrack; Way Back Into Love is quite nice a song. My dad’s watching The Prestige right now, and so I’m listening to songs with the headset which is in a bad shape. The earpieces, the spongy like part, is tearing. It’s over-used. Not for the headset though, more for the mic.

Tomorrow I’m going to Miri with my daddy. My mum’s in KL right now. She’s been there since Sunday and will be coming back this Saturday. I shall look around for new sports shoes because my current pair is too loose. It’s actually a smaller size than what I usually wear but then it’s so loose that it makes my toe bleed. YES, remember the post, It’s one.. blooday day? It happened again this afternoon! It wasn’t as bad and it was my left big toe only but the fact that I’m getting bleeding toes means I need a more fitting pair of shoes. Hmm, I don’t think my dad will allow though.

Anyways, enjoy your holidays especially to SAS-ers. I want longer holidays; the thought of school, 6 days per week, morning till afternoon on 3 days.. killer. I’m excited for the netball match though, nervous a little but yeap. The junior team’s playing on 26th, the seniors on 27th, Tuesday. Wish us all luck!
